i LOVE unplanned, spontaneous photo sessions. here's why:



after brigid's engagement session we went to her bridal shower. and when i saw this beautiful baby girl there, i just had to snap some pictures of her. i mean, look at that face! with those cheeks! and those eyelashes! oh my... she does not help my baby hunger one bit...











i love this last one because she's smiling at her mama...

this little man is one of my favorite babies. he is such a happy boy! i was more than happy to drive up to l.a. and take pictures of him for his first birthday. they grow up way too fast, don't they? here are just a few of my favorites from our afternoon...

and now on to the good stuff! usually i have someone make a cake for the smash shoot, but kevin has a very talented mom. she did a great job! and kevin was not shy about eating it!

the end. :) kevin got his first haircut for his first birthday a few days later. i hope i get to take some pictures of him with his new look soon!

i had such a great time taking photos of cute cambria. she was such a sweet, happy girl and i just couldn't get over those beautiful blue eyes! and it doesn't hurt that she wasn't crawling yet. :) nine months old is such a great age!

kevin - 10 months old | orange county baby photographer

this cute boy has been on this blog so many times, you'd think he was mine! (see here and here) and i can't lie... i wish he was. he is so adorable, i always tell his mom i'm going to keep him! but for some strange reason she won't let me. :)

here are some of my favorite shots. it was really hard to choose just a few to post! these first ones were taken inside, then we went outside to take advantage of the beautiful day we were having!



i love this picture because he was looking at his mommy. :)



and i just love those big blue eyes!



he really didn't like sitting on the grass... which worked out in my favor because it prevented him from crawling away!









cute Emmett was in the background making him smile so big. i'm grateful he was there! even if his hugs got a little rough. :)



kevin didn't mind one bit!
